How it works

A predictable process: we prepare and document; your administrator or CFO certifies; the report goes to your MAC through MCReF.

  1. Intro call and scoping

We confirm your provider type and form, CCN, fiscal year end, MAC, any home office or related parties, and whether you expect a full, low-, or no-utilization report. Low-utilization reports need MAC approval before you file.

  2. Records and access

We send you a records list for your agency, and you send the items on it. For MCReF and PS&R, your organization’s security official grants access through CMS’s IDM system.

  3. Preparation and reconciliation

We map your trial balance to cost centers, make reclassifications and adjustments, run the cost allocation, and reconcile statistics and payments to the PS&R. Questions go to you early.

  4. Review with you

We walk you through the settlement result, key adjustments, and anything the MAC is likely to ask about.

  5. Certification and e-filing

Your administrator or CFO signs the certification (electronic signature allowed). The package is submitted through MCReF, which delivers it straight to your MAC.

  6. Acceptance, review, settlement

The MAC decides within 30 days whether the report is acceptable, then desk reviews it and may audit it. We help with requests and review the Notice of Program Reimbursement with you.

Get organized before year-end

The earlier we start, the smoother the filing. When we begin, we’ll send you a list of the records we need for your agency so you can gather them before year-end.
